Australia does have a proud tradition of rock musicians about Ozzy's age who immigrated from the UK when they were children.

Buffalo don't just sound like Black Sabbath, they *are* Black Sabbath.
Black Sabbath would succeed with a different singer. Tony Iommi's songs were all that mattered for the group to make it. Sharon Osbourne (nee Arden) was also going to succeed, whether as a music promoter or otherwise.
As for Ozzy, he needs a similar stroke of good fortune to the one that landed him in Black Sabbath. I hope he would get it, and he and Sharon would find each other after all -- I rather like the way things worked out in real life.
