What if Hiroshi Yamauchi Never bought the Seattle Mariners

Based from the recent death of Mr. Hiroshi Yamauchi(God be pious with him), i was wondering if he never decided buy the seattle mariners(decided money can be expended in other places)

How that will means for the Mariners? they will leave seattle? no Ken Griffith JR legend? No Ichiro Suzuki fame?
