Wotcher,
*Anthony Stafford Beer was a British theorist, American consultant, US government figure, and war-criminal[disputed, see talk]. Hired by Henry Ford II, Beer pioneered a Whiz Kid series of reforms in Ford motor vehicle manufacture leading to what Nicholas Land[1] (U Chic. Cybernetics Research Unit) would call, "The horrific imposition of post-fordist relations of production, all watched over by machines of love and grace[2]." Beer's work integrated worker spontenaity into increased quality of production, making Ford the leading purchased car-manufacturer in the US, 1955-1987, primarily due to quality and reliability. This lead to what some labour relations analysts and communists have termed "Post Fordism" labour relations, later seen in Japan's motor industry. Beer was subsequently recruited by the Kennedy government. Beer served under Kennedy and LBJ where his "consumer oriented response," foreign policy resulted in the failed "spetsnaz" or "specialist" operations in southern Vietnam, widely condemned for their authorisation of initiative by "ordinary men."[tendentious, see talk][insufficiently cited, see talk] Despite Beer's use of computer technology and cybernetics to attempt to analyse the political complexion of Vietnamese opposition decision making and authorise on the ground decisions by US operational commanders in political warfare, the United States withdrew from the situation in the 1960s. Beer is also notorious for his mis-management of the F-111 procurement programme. Beer retired later from public life and was known as a minor commentator.

[1] Obviously this means alt-hist Nick Land gets high on MDMA to Chicago dance music, rather than English.
[2] All Watched Over by Machines of Loving Grace is a BBC television documentary series by filmmaker Adam Curtis. Machines of Loving Grace was an American industrial rock band from Tucson, Arizona, formed in 1989.
