Sources on the German Revolution of 1918, and Weimar Germany in general

I am currently writing a story about the Weimar Republic, and I am looking for (preferably online) sources about German Revolution and the Weimar Republic in general.

I’ve seen Wikipedia, Firstworldwar.com, and The Great War and Between Two Wars series. However, I would like to diversify my sources into other areas, both to avoid Wikipedias’ dubiousness and simply to have access to more information. I didn’t know if this belongs in Writers Forum or in here, so I just had it posted here.

If you're looking for kinda comprehwnsive "guide" through this time abd its event like what's to be found for the First World War - though the Post-war section of this site might also offer you some insights - I don't know of any.

But ... however 'bad' the reputation of wiki article are here around, looking at several language versions of it (esp. the german one, use of some translator recomended) and there esp. at their sources and sourcing which you might be able to find around the web ... elsewhere you have at least kinda 'guide' to look for more comprehensive information on certain events, persons, etc.

Unfortunately, I think you are going to have to look to books rather than websites for Indepth information. Wages of Destruction covers a lot about the economic policies of Weimar as part of its overall narrative about the Nazi economy.

Alright. I’ll see if I can get that. Any other books you know about on this subject?

Just disovered that there's kinda THE standard work (at least for german scholary) for an overall look at the Weimar Republik of Hans Mommsen also available in english.

However, for interest in whatever 'special' topic - certain persons, organisations, sports. culture, etc. you should look up monographies of these (as said: as a good starting point for looking for such sources wikipedia still can serve).

Look at the German wiki, thru a translator if necessary.
It goes into detail a bit deeper than the English, last time I poked around in it
