IIRC, The Seattle Marines were in a very bad economical and atlethic situation back in the eighteis and start of the nineties, in fact they were unable to finish their new ballpark, after a long and big campaing for a potential buyers(who even ask to Bill gates), Hiroishi Yamauchi in the figure of Nintendo of America bought the team as majority holder with 50% of the shares, with Chris Larson of Microsoft the 30% and other the rest.
How the thing will be? IIRC The previous owner want to move the team to Tampa Bay and the buy of nintendo avoid that....
