AHC: More countries with monarch of other country

What if other countries had a head of government as Australia, Canada, New Zealand and others, maintains the foreign monarch with a constitutional monarchy?

Andorra has two of them. :D

Otherwise, this is a hard sell post-1900, with all that rampant nationalism. Your best bet would probably be the Lichtensteins continuing to reside in Vienna. The Indian princely states probably have a good shot at this.

Surely the easiest approach is the same one the British took. E.g. a Central Powers victory probably sees the Kaiser survive, so when decolonization comes (as it inevitably will), some of the nations might hold on to the Kaiser as the ceremonial head of some sort of German Commonwealth.

Portugal might too create something dominion system. But I am not sure can its monarchy even survive with 1900 POD.

Korea could have been kept as a protectorate by Japan instead of being annexed, and the Korean emperor could have been replaced with or established as subservient to the Japanese one.

Hmm. Is a post-1900 French monarchical restoration of any kind completely ASB or just very unlikely?

How about the Faroes and Greenland as independent states in personal union with Denmark. Iceland OTL terminated the personal union after WWII, but maybe with a pre-WWII POD Iceland will retain it.

For the Netherlands, maybe have the other constituent countries (Aruba, Cucaçao or the Netherlands Antilles goes fully independent but retains the Dutch monarchy).

A Scandinavian EU could be headed by one king who rotates his home from Denmark, to Sweaden, to Norway, so in essence they are all ruled by another countries monarchs, but they are still separate countries

Well, the first target would probably be having more surviving Commonwealth Realms. Most of the big ones- India, Pakistan, Kenya and so forth, are probably not possible, but with the right PoD you could probably get South Africa, possibly some sort of Zimbabwe-Rhodesia like state, Mauritius, Trinidad and Tobago, Guyana, Dominica, Malta, Fiji, Kiribati, Samoa, Nauru, etc. etc.

Though if we're taking 1900 as the start point, Irish Home Rule in 1914, followed by a Dominion of India in the 20s and the Empire gradually evolving in that direction might see more on this front.
